The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) recently held a placement drive for its Bachelor of Business Administration in Retailing (BBARIL) students. The event, aimed at providing career opportunities and industry exposure, saw participation from several prominent retail companies and organizations.
The placement drive was conducted on Friday at IGNOU’s main campus at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi. The drive brought in a diverse group of recruiters including well-known retail giants such as Shoppers Stop Limited, Spar Hypermarket, Ample Technology, Guess India, Lifestyle, Nallies, Reliance Trends, Titan, Reliance Retail, Zudio, Tata Trend and Arvind Fashion. Representatives from these companies conducted interviews and assessments, aiming to identify and recruit fresh talent for jobs as well as internships.
The placement drive was organized by IGNOU’s Campus Placement Cell (CPC) and School of Management Studies (SOMS) in collaboration with Retailers Association of India (RAI), Mumbai.
By the end of the day, a total number of 247 students who pursued BBARIL appeared for the interviews at the placement drive. The event not only highlighted the potential of IGNOU’s BBA in Retailing program but also reinforced the university’s role in shaping the future of retail management in India.
