Issuance Process of IGNOU Marksheet

1. Evaluation and Grading:

Upon completion of term-end examinations, assignments, and other assessments, IGNOU evaluates the performance of students and assigns grades based on predefined criteria and marking schemes.

2. Compilation of Results:

Once the evaluation process is complete, IGNOU compiles the results of all students, including their grades, credits earned, and CGPA for each course and semester.

3. Generation of Marksheets:

IGNOU generates individual mark sheets for each student based on their academic performance and results. The mark sheets are prepared electronically and include the requisite student information, course details, and grades obtained.

4. Dispatch and Distribution:

After the mark sheets are generated, IGNOU dispatches them to students through postal or courier services to their registered address. Students are required to ensure that their address details are accurate and up to date to receive the mark sheets promptly.

How To Check IGNOU Marksheet Dispatch Status 2024

Checking IGNOU Marksheet status is directly linked to your Grade Card. Once all the items in your grade card including assignments, exams, projects , practicals are completed, received and marked, only then will your Marksheet be generated and sent to you. You cannot receive your marksheet without a completed Grade Card.

How To get your IGNOU Marksheet For TEE December 2024?

Here are few cases if you haven’t received your marksheet yet.

Case 1: “All the Items in my Grade Card are received, completed and marked.”

In this case, you do not have to do anything. As long as your permanent address is correct with the University, they automatically dispatch the hard copy of your original Marksheet and Provisional Certificate through courier. The time of dispatch varies depending upon the distance between your Address City and Delhi.

Case 2: “All the items in my Grade Card are complete and marked, but I haven’t received my marksheet yet. It has been more than 2 months.”

In this case, visit your Regional Centre with a copy of your Grade Card. They will be able to tell you where the process is stuck. If you are in Delhi, visit the IGNOU HQ  in Maidan Garhi directly. Go to Student Evaluation Division (SED) with a print out of your Grade Card.

Case 3: “I checked my grade card but certain subjects are showing ‘not received’ , but I have submitted all assignments and given all exams long back.”

If your submissions and exams happened more than 6 months ago and the grade card doesn’t show marks, immediately visit your Study Centre. There might be certain discrepancy that you are not aware of. Once this gets resolved and it shows on your grade card, wait for your marksheet.
