According to the Electronic Media Production Centre (EMPC), IGNOU’s Notification issued on 1st January 2025, the Consultant is required to edit and assemble Video recorded footage into polished Videos for its DD Gyan Darshan channel and other digital platforms.
Additionally the consultant will perform the below responsibilities:
Consultants will work closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other media professionals at the EMPC to produce engaging video lectures, tutorials, and other audiovisual resources. The selected candidates will be responsible for editing video content for a wide array of academic programs offered by IGNOU. This includes preparing high-quality multimedia educational materials that align with the university’s goal of providing flexible and accessible education.
Additionally, the role demands a keen eye for detail, creativity in storytelling, and proficiency in using advanced video editing software. Candidates will also be expected to ensure that all video materials adhere to IGNOU’s quality standards and are compatible with its Learning Management System (LMS) and other digital platforms.

According to the notification issued by SOJNMS, IGNOU is looking for experienced professionals to join its School of Journalism and New Media Studies. The selected Consultants will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and revising course materials related to Journalism and Mass Communication.
According to the notification issued by SOPVA, IGNOU’s School of Performing and Visual Arts is also inviting applications for Consultants specializing in Painting. These professionals will contribute to the creation of course content and learning resources for programs in Visual Arts.
